Rickie Fowler surged into the lead early at the 100th PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club in Missouri with a 5-under 65. Fowler, looking for his first major win, had six birdies and few missed shots on the day.
Meanwhile, the supergroup of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas battled through their Thursday action. The group netted a 1-under score, with JT shooting a 69 and both Woods and McIlroy carding even-par 70.
